Plenty of Rangers fans have voiced their agreement with a claim by ‘Gers fan @RampantRyanJack on Twitter that the 27-year-old whose name is contained within that handle is the best midfielder at Ibrox. The claim was made by @RampantRyanJack in response to a tweet from the Second Tier Podcast (@TheSecondTier) asking followers to share an unpopular opinion about their own club.
Jack, who has been sidelined recently with a calf injury (as per Daily Record), has scored five goals and provided four assists for the Light Blues this season, while his 2,793 minutes of game-time is the fourth highest in the Rangers squad and the most of any midfielder at the club. His average of 53.5 passes per game is the second highest in the squad after Steven Davis, while he has made more interceptions per game (2.7) than any of his team-mates (as per WhoScored).
According to @RampantRyanJack, Davis receives greater appreciation from the Ibrox faithful – for example, the Northern Ireland international was hailed as being “on a different level” after the derby win over Celtic at the end of December. However, these Rangers fans voiced their agreement with the claim about Jack being the club’s best midfielder:

No sure how unpopular that is. Evidently our best midfielder

they asked unpopular, not fact

Well I 100% agree with you think the lads a league above the rest tbh.

Davis is better technically, but Jack is the better all round player. No doubts

Jack all day long. The commitment, desire and attitude is something we miss. Davis gets a free ride imo but still a quality player
