Neil Doncaster is far from a popular man with Glasgow Rangers at the moment.
The SPFL chief has been accused of playing his part in corruption – the Gers have shared a 200-page dossier which they believe proves as much, although the governing body themselves do not appear to agree – and on Tuesday, the other 41 clubs in the top four tiers of Scottish football will vote on whether they want an independent investigation into the authority.
Effectively, they are accusing the Englishman of lying – and that would not be the first time someone has made such a claim about him. Back in 2017, he was accused of lying about £1-a-week contracts for youth players, with there even being proof that he knew about the deals.
Do you think Glasgow Rangers will reach the majority they need at the EGM?
This news appears to have resurfaced, and as you can imagine, the Gers supporters have been quick to react – one fan even called it “damning”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
