Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Ianis Hagi transfer update

Ianis Hagi is now believed to be within touching distance of completing his permanent transfer to Glasgow Rangers from Genk.
The Romania international has been on loan at the Gers since January, and has impressed in the short amount of time he has had at Ibrox – he scored twice against Braga in the Europa League, for example, which helped the 54-time Scottish champions fight back from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2.
His current employers Genk even confirmed the transfer on their official website before it was taken down – it is surely only a matter of time before the switch is completed. Now, Jim White has provided an update on the potential transfer fee. On Twitter, he revealed that the Gers will pay £3m over three years for the 21-year-old. This is less than the €5m (£4.5m) clause that was included in his loan deal.
Will Hagi be at Rangers next season?
Yes

No

This attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, and they appear to be rather happy with the rumoured transfer fee, understandably so given they seem to have got a knocked down price – one fan even called it “daylight robbery,” whilst another suggested it was “incredible.”
They have taken to the social media platform to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments below.

What a deal! 🤩
What a talent Hagi is with his unbelievable vision, footwork and an amazing ability on both feet
£3m is a steal especially with teams like Lazio sniffing – arriving with incredible sell on value
Credit must go to Ross Wilson, no wonder he was DoF at Southampton https://t.co/NpNwaN5dgS

If we’re paying for him over three years then that’s incredible, what a deal! Means more money can go elsewhere https://t.co/b8x4YnFi07
