Ianis Hagi has already made quite the impression at Glasgow Rangers.
The Romania international, and son of former Barcelona and Real Madrid man Gheorghe, joined the Gers on loan from Belgian side Genk during the January transfer window. Since then, he has brought flair and threat in front of goal, as can be seen by his performance against Braga in the Europa League – he scored twice in a 3-2 victory.
The Ibrox outfit currently have a €5m (£4.4m) purchase option, but it had been unclear as to whether the 54-time Scottish champions would look to make the deal permanent. Now, though, journalist Emanuel Rosu has said that the 21-year-old has already made his decision – he wants to stay with the Glasgow club.
Will Hagi be at Rangers next season?
This news appears to have excited the club’s supporters, and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. One fan even claimed the player is “dripping with potential.”

This guy is usually very accurate regarding Hagi, so we’ll need to see what’s happening.
Fingers crossed though, the boy is dripping with potential. https://t.co/7NLN5Dl4Wj
