The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc for Glasgow Rangers and other clubs in Scottish football.
The season was brought to a premature end for the first time since World War II as it was no longer deemed safe to play. That then led to a bitter war of words between the ‘Gers and the SPFL, with the Ibrox outfit accusing the governing body of corruption and even demanding an investigation into the authority, which was eventually rejected.
While the 2020/21 SPFL season is set to start in August, fans will not be allowed into stadia, so those who have bought a season ticket will not be able to make use of it. Fortunately, the Ibrox club has offered a refund system but, in order to avail of it, fans must print out a form and send it in instead of being able to do it over the Internet.
Will Rangers win the league next season?
It seems that many ‘Gers fans are far from happy with this news and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, with one supporter accusing the club of “taking the Martin Bain approach”. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
Find the hardest way possible to have a refund issued to the fans in the hope they dont bother 😂! Never ever easy way Rangers https://t.co/1jfTwbvK5A

For a refund you need to download a form print it out fill it in and post it 😂 they don’t exactly make it easy https://t.co/aYhPmbMOxi

Making people do it ‘old school’ by printing off a form & sending it to the ticket office . . Which is closed. Not so subtle way of making it as hard as possible 🙄
Along with the scam that is MyGers it’s poor from the club unfortunately 👎🏼 https://t.co/1Jm7cviun4

Print off a form when you might not have access to a printer during lockdown and post to a closed ticket office by 30 June and refund to follow by cheque. I see the Club are taking the Martin Bain approach to fan engagement.

Making people print a form and send it in writing during a pandemic 🤣 Also return it to the ticket office when all the ticket office staff are working from home? That’s a shambles
