As per Football Insider, Glasgow Rangers have made an enquiry for Leicester City youngster Dennis Gyamfi.
The Gers have already signed one starlet from the Foxes, with Calvin Bassey having recently made the move to Ibrox.
Now, it looks as if Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson are looking to add another player from the Premier League outfit, with it being said they have made an enquiry for the youngster. However, it is thought that Brendan Rodgers does not want to lose the player and in an attempt to persuade him to stay he has recently promoted him to first team training.
This is another indication that Gerrard and co are looking to give the Gers’ squad a youthful look. They have already signed Ianis Hagi and Bassey, who are 21 and 20 respectively, and adding an 18-year-old to that can surely only be good news for the future.
As it stands, Gyamfi has only played at youth level, but there has certainly been plenty of interest in his services – both Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked. Such is his quality, he has even been compared to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whom the Reds Devils signed for £45m last year.
Would you like to sign Gyamfi?
With his contract set to run out, he could be signed on a free transfer, which would represent a no-risk signing for the Ibrox outfit. Wilson should do all he can to take the youngster to Scotland.
