Glasgow Rangers: Fans gush over footage of Sasa Papac as news emerges

Glasgow Rangers have already made their first moves ahead of the 2020/21 campaign by signing Calvin Bassey.
After announcing that Ianis Hagi has joined Rangers on a permanent basis, the club revealed Bassey has signed a pre-contract to move to Ibrox from Leicester City and he will link up with Steven Gerrard’s side when the transfer window opens.
The 20-year-old has inked a four-year-contract with the 54-time Scottish champions and he can play as either a left-back or centre-back.
Following a similar theme, the Light Blues have now paid tribute to one of the defender’s predecessors.
Is Sasa Papac a Rangers great?
Yes
No
Rangers tweeted footage of Sasa Papac on Twitter, showing his sensational screamer at home to Dundee United in 2008. The Bosnian latched onto a lob from Nacho Novo and smashed the ball into the back of the net to mark his first goal for the club (BBC).
After arriving at Ibrox from Austria Vienna for £450k, Papac went on to make over 200 appearances for the ‘Gers, scoring 6 goals, creating 14 assists, winning the Scottish Premiership three times and lifting the Scottish Cup, before retiring in 2012 (Transfermarkt).
Unsurprisingly, many RFC fans gushed over the “screamer” on social media, with one fan tweeting he was “class,” and another adding he was a “super underrated player.”
