Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Steven Gerrard’s plans for double Leicester raid

Glasgow Rangers have been already made the first moves ahead of the 2020/21 season by signing Ianis Hagi.
The Romania international impressed the club during his loan spell before the Scottish Premiership came to an abrupt halt, as he scored 3 goals in 12 games for the ‘Gers, picking up a double against Braga in the Europa League.
Following his £3m permanent move, the club announced Hagi will be joined at Ibrox by Charlie Lindsay and Calvin Bassey, with the latter having agreed to join Rangers from Leicester City on a four-year contract.
It seems Steven Gerrard has no plans of slowing down anytime soon, as he has now turned his attention to Bassey’s former teammate Dennis Gyamfi.
According to The Daily Record, Gyamfi’s contract with the Foxes will run out at the end of June, and the ‘Gers face stiff competition from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Feyenoord.
Should Rangers sign Dennis Gyamfi?
Yes
No
The gaffer has reportedly been tracking the 18-year-old for over a year, and even made an unsuccessful bid to sign the teenager last summer.
Although he is yet to make an appearance for Brendan Rodgers’ side up until now, he has played regularly with Bassey in the development squad, creating 1 assist in the U18 Premier League this season.
Gerrard is looking to add to his defensive options as club captain James Tavernier is the only recognised right-back at the time of writing.
Unsurprisingly, loads of RFC fans discussed the “young talent” on social media, with one supporter tweeting he looks “promising,” and another adding he will be a “solid backup to Tav.”
Have a read through the rest of the mixed reactions so far…
I appreciate bringing in young players to plan for the future but are these signings gonna stop Celtic next year?

Gerrard has been tipped to make a second swoop on Leicester City with news that Ghanian right-back, Dennis Gyamfi is on the radar. The 18 year old out of contract at the end of the month, a development fee similar to the one paid for Bassey would be enough to secure his services. pic.twitter.com/dsVOWdTvYU

Hearing reports that Rangers are linked with young @LCFC right back Dennis Gyamfi. He’s available on a free and is said to be monitored by a host of top clubs.
I welcome this transfer as he looks to be a solid backup to Tav and would also allow Patterson to be loaned out.

I agree, we’re planning ahead massively now I feel, signing young talent rather than just signing “BIG NAME” players e.g. Bruno or Barton

Got to see him in action first. You can sign the worlds best but there’s no garauntee they would fit in. So I’ll reserve judgement
