Steven Gerrard may not yet have got his hands on a trophy north of the border at Glasgow Rangers, but it is unfair to say his time at the club has been a failure.
After all, Celtic are currently in a position where they are so much stronger than the rest of the Scottish Premiership after the Gers have needed to come back from League Two following their demotion due to financial issues. And whilst Gerrard has not been able to dethrone the Bhoys, the club’s performances in Europe – they are currently in the last 16 of the Europa League, for example – shows that steps in the right direction are being made.
Has Steven Gerrard been a success at Rangers?
Not only that, he appears to be incredible popular amongst supporters and has tried to fully understand what it means to support the Gers. He showed that in a recent video with Alex Wilson, an 88-year-old season ticket holder. The boss took time out of his day to talk to the supporter, and that has delighted the fans.
They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
One of the best things I’ve seen in a long time that. That’s what it’s all about being a rangers fan, 88 years old and still going to the games #RangersFamily

Not sure I’ve ever wanted a Rangers Manager to succeed as much as I do Gerrard, the man just oozes class…
