Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Hibernian news

Given that Glasgow Rangers have already made two signings recently, it appears that they are in a healthy financial position, but that cannot be said for the rest of the country’s football clubs.
On Thursday, for example, it was confirmed that Aberdeen have asked their players and staff to take wage cuts as they are currently unable to pay them as contractually agreed. Now, it appears that Hibernian could well be in a difficult situation if the latest update on their academy is anything to go by.
Edinburgh Live is reporting that the club is prepared to shelve their youth set-up as they look to cut costs due to the current pandemic. Also, academy head Eddie May is currently in the process of negotiating a redundancy package with the club.
Would you want to see Hibernian go bust?
Yes

No

This has attracted plenty of attention from the Gers supporters, and they appear to be relishing the news on the whole – it seems they harbour ill-blood towards the side from the Scottish capital, who voted against allowing newco Rangers into the SPL back in 2012. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Hibs axing their academy and asking players to take a pay cut.
Aberdeen asking players and staff to take a wage cut
Hearts asking fans to pay money directly into their bank account. And just wait until BT, the BBC and others demand their money.
