Rangers are unlikely to be too happy with Dundee at the moment.
The latter, of course, have been at the centre of the Scottish football saga along with the Ibrox outfit recently. The Dee were the last team to vote for the Scottish FA’s resolution proposal, and they eventually changed their minds after their initial decision was not registered – there have since been accusations of corruption since.
However, Rangers are likely to be happy to have signed Glen Kamara from their rivals north of the border in January of last year, with them spending the nominal fee of £50,000 to acquire his services – his teammate in Glasgow, Scott Arfield, has called the transfer the “steal of the century”.
Since joining, he has already made 55 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice and providing three assists in the process. Not only is he now an important member of Steven Gerrard’s squad, but he is also a 19-time Finland international, and he helped them qualify for Euro 2020 – it is the first time in their history they have made it to the final stages of the tournament.
Is Glen Kamara underrated?
According to Transfermarkt, he is now worth £1.08m, which is 21 times more than what they signed him for. It seems Arfield may just be bang on the money.
