The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to Ross McCrorie’s return to first-team training ahead of the club’s visit to Fir Park as they face Motherwell on Saturday. The 20-year-old central-defender has made 19 appearances for the Gers and has looked convincing at Ibrox so far this season.
McCrorie’s return comes at a brilliant time for Rangers as they look to gain momentum in their last two league games of the season before they face their last Old Firm derby of the season in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park next month. The game presents Graeme Murty’s side a chance to get one over their Glasgwegian neighbours Celtic as they aim to prevent the Bhoys in Green from winning back-to-back domestic trebles in Scotland for the first time in their history.
The Bluenoses will need their full squad available for what promises to e the biggest game of their season. The current campaign has seen Rangers look back to their best in patches as they’ve put a number of teams to the sword at Ibrox. The Glasgow club have had to wait a long time for a major honour in Scotland with their las trophies coming in the 2010/11 season as they won the Scottish Premiership and League Cup before being relegated the following season. Ross McCrorie will have to play a big role if Rangers want to overcome Celtic in just over two weeks time and his return to action has come at a perfect time for the club.

Our team is in safe hands for the foreseeable future, with boys like McCrorie and Docherty in there fighting for the jersey.

Good news indeed

Ross has to play in the old firm game. For me he has to play centre back because Him and Martin is our only chance of winning the match. I know people will say he needs to play in midfield but we need him more at the back. Even if 60% fit. Youth will help him.
