‘Great news’ – Rangers fans react as light at the end of injury tunnel appears at long last

The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to news that both Lee Wallace and Graham Dorrans are to make appearances against Brentford B, with Wallace set to feature as a central-defender, as opposed to his more natural role as a left-back.

The news of Wallace and Dorrans’ return to action is no doubt good no news for the Gers who have been propping our bar up. However, the news that Wallace will be deployed at the heart of the Glaswegian defence is an interesting one for the fans. The 30-year-old has been at the club since July 2011 and has played in all four divisions of Scottish football with the club.

The Bluenoses face Kilmarnock on Saturday in their last game before the international break and Graeme Murty’s side will be hoping they can bounce back after last week’s Old Firm disappointment against Celtic. The Gers currently sit 2nd in the Scottish Premier League, nine points behind their Glasgow rivals who also have a game in hand. Our resident Rangers faithful will be hoping that with their returning stars, they can force a title race as they hope to catch Celtic in the remaining weeks of the season.
