Rangers’ stadium, Ibrox, is one of the most historic stadiums in world football, let alone Scotland.
The Gers have always played their homes games there, which is the third biggest ground north of the border after Celtic Park and Hampden Park with 51,082 seats. Steeped in history, there has been many a wonderful day and night spent their by supporters of the club, who have won the country’s top tier a record 54 times, four more than Glasgow rivals Celtic.
Whether it was to pay homage to the wonderful old ground or not, the club’s official Twitter account decided to share a photo of how it looked in 1990, as well as the surrounding area. With no new football to sink their teeth into, it got the club’s supporters talking and reminiscing about their home.
