Over the course of the weekend, the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern were absolutely fuming. Indeed, while life under Graeme Murty has been fairly good this season, their second loss to Hibernian at Ibrox this season proved very frustrating.
With that in mind, our local Light Blues are eager to put that result behind them and move swiftly on to tomorrow night’s game away at Patrick Thistle. If the Gers can get a win over their Glasgow rivals, then there’s a real chance they can make a run for second place.
So, ahead of the game, it seems the punters propping up our bar (as well as those online) are largely calling for the same selection process. After a rather disappointing performance in the engine room against Hibs, the Ibrox faithful seem to want skipper Jason Holt dropped from central midfield, with January signing Greg Docherty to replace him.
Having said that, here’s a closer look at the reaction on Twitter.
Windass and Holt need dropped. Cummings and Docherty are much better players

I hope Murty realises 2 things or it will cost him the job. He's doesn't have to wait like Pedro or Warburton to make changes at 70 minutes. And Holt and a youth loan for CM won't win us every game. Just like Holt & Hyndman couldn't. Yes we have injuries but Docherty starts IMO

i’ll be genuinely shocked if anyone still defends murty if he doesn’t start docherty on tuesday

100%. Time to let Docherty loose on Tuesday night.

I’ve been a big defender of Murty through everything since we punted Pedro. But unless we absolute smash Partick on Tuesday and some drastic tactical changes (Docherty starting instead of Holt and Cummings alongside Morelos) happen, I’ll start to question his leadership.
