Our Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see what Pedro Caixinha does for their club this season and, more importantly, into the future.

The Portuguese boss was finally appointed earlier this week and is now tasked with the job of reeling in Celtic at the top of the league.

If he can do that he’ll surely become a Gers hero and it appears he has already gone about setting up his revolution with the dismissal of goalkeeping coach Jim Smith – as reported by The Scottish Sun.

It remains to be seen, then, just how Caixinha’s replacement Jose Belman gets on but there’s at least one man who is going to miss the outgoing Smith – Liam Kelly.

The ‘keeper is currently at Livingstone on loan from Rangers but took to his Twitter account to express his gratitude to Smith:

A classy message, then, but how much will you miss him Rangers fans? Let us know below!
