Having moved into second following a recent run of good form, the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are in good spirits.
While the Gers trail bitter rivals Celtic by some distance, the Ibrox faithful in the Tavern understand Mark Warburton is at least making a start in closing the gap on the Bhoys.
However, they’ve not enjoyed reading reports from the Sun today.
According to them, Championship giants Newcastle United and Derby County are showing an interest in Josh Windass, who only moved to Glasgow in the summer just gone.
Having impressed for Accrington Stanley, the 22-year-old is believed to have been identified as a potential reinforcement for a promotion push at either Pride Park of St. James’ Park.
Despite struggling with injuries on a relatively frequent basis north of the border, the son of former Hull City legend Dean is thought to have seriously impressed.
Mark Warburton is understood to have his own January plans and may need to sell before he buys, having lost both Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar during the opening parts of the campaign.
Just how impressed have you been with Windass this season? Let us know below…
