With the current pandemic sweeping across the globe, several football clubs are in danger of going under – just look at Burnley, who have admitted they could go bust in August if things do not go back to normal before then. In an attempt to help out though, Gerrard and co will not take home any earnings until July.
James Tavernier, the current Rangers captain, has been speaking about the decision to the club’s official Twitter page. He said that not only was it an easy decision for himself and his teammates, it has also made him proud to wear the armband for the Glasgow outfit.
