But, after witnessing the Bluenoses’ shaky defensive display against Celtic last time out, Connor Goldson should be replaced at the heart of the defence.
The Portuguese winger hasn’t been able to enjoy regular minutes in the current campaign due to the number of signings that were made during the summer transfer window.
However, the 30-year-old did look impressive after being brought on against Celtic last time out, with Ryan Kent offering very little out wide for the Bluenoses.
Therefore, Gerrard should put his trust in the experienced winger as just rewards for his patience and efforts.
