Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck has said that he would love to return to Glasgow Rangers at some point.
The 28-year-old currently appears for the Blades in the Premier League and he has had a rather impressive campaign under Chris Wilder. In 25 appearances in the top flight, he has managed five goals and two assists, which has led to an average WhoScored rating of 6.99 – only Chris Basham has managed more for the Bramall Lane outfit this term, according to the site.
Fleck started his career with the Gers in 2007 and went on to make 55 appearances before first moving to Blackpool and then Coventry ahead of his switch to Yorkshire. He has been talking to Sky Sports about his future and he has said that he would love a return to the 54-time Scottish champions. He admitted when asked about a return to Ibrox: “I’m very happy at Sheffield United. As long as that continues, then great. But if the chance came along, down the line, then I would love it – to be honest.”
Would you like John Fleck to return to Ibrox?
Given that he is said to be worth £20m following Arsenal’s interest in January, a sum that would likely be above what Rangers could afford, a move back to Scotland will probably not be on the cards any time soon. However, further on down the line, it could very well be something the Gers could consider, and if he were to make the switch to Ibrox, he will have come full circle.
‘Gers fans, can you see Fleck returning to Ibrox in the future? Let us know what you think below!
