Glasgow Rangers fans will know all about John McGinn.
The 25-year-old currently plays for Aston Villa in the English championship but that was only after appearing for Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership. In 136 games for Hibs, nine of which were against the ‘Gers, he scored 17 goals and provided 29 assists, which led to the Villans taking him to the English Midlands. Since he moved to England, he has impressed, with even Manchester United being linked with an approach for his services.
The £14.4m-valued Scotland international has been speaking to BBC Scotland and has said that the Premier League lacks the “honesty and humility” of the Scottish Premiership. This has attracted plenty of attention from some ‘Gers supporters and they don’t seem to share his sentiment – the recent troubles in Scottish football, with the ‘Gers accusing the SPFL of corruption, may play a part in that.
