Rangers have been incredible under Steven Gerrard so far this season as they continue to fight for silverware and have stamped their authority on proceedings in Europe.
The Bluenoses find themselves in a promising position to challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title having enjoyed a positive start to proceedings. Indeed, Steven Gerrard invested heavily over the course of the summer transfer window in an attempt to bring silverware to Ibrox at the first attempt.
However, with all of the summer signings trying their best to settle down in Scotland there was always going to be a number of difficulties, and it looks as if one player in particular is still struggling.
Worryingly, one man who just hasn’t been able to ensure consistency at the back for the Bluenoses so far this season is Jon Flanagan, who is currently valued at £1.58 million (by Transfermarkt).
Sadly, the defender had a night to forget last time out in the Europa League against Russian side Ufa as he was given his marching orders after an unconvincing display. And, this isn’t the first time that the right-back has looked sluggish for Rangers this season, as he also looked off the pace against Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers can’t afford to put up with any inconsistencies and bad decision-making in their back line as this could cost them dearly in the race for the Scottish Premiership title, with Celtic looking to pounce on any slip-ups.
