Journalist: Warburton should be fighting for future as Rangers boss

Considering their season started with so much optimism, the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been absolutely gutted of late after watching their side continue to struggle under Mark Warburton recently.

A stunning 27 points off bitter rivals Celtic at the summit of the league, the Gers’ thumping at the hands of Hearts and their dropping of points at home to Ross County have had the drinkers in the bar drowning their sorrows recently.

According to the Daily Record, a loss in the Scottish Cup to Morton – who have proved to be a bogey team for Warbo – should see him handed his marching orders from Ibrox. While the former Brentford coach has helped the club up the league since taking over in 2015, the tide does appear to be turning on him right now.

While the report does claim the situation is not yet reversible, in Keith Jackson’s view, it soon could be for the Gers. It’s fair to say, after recent results, Warburton isn’t really the most popular figure amongst our punters and some of them believe they’d be better off suited without him.

Will he last the season at Rangers? Let us know below..
