Rangers fans here in the Tavern are awaiting the season that they can beat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership once again, though that’ll have to wait until next season. Whether that is a possibility is unknown but the Gers have to spend wisely in the summer in order to try and make that statement come true.
A player who could prove to be a saviour for Rangers is Preston North End hitman Louis Moult, formerly of Scottish side Motherwell.
It was there when Moult burst onto the scene in Scottish football having scored 50 goals in 98 games. Now, though, having secured a big move to the Championship, he has currently failed to live up to the hype he made in Scotland, prompting interest from Rangers.
Valued at £675,000 on Transfermarkt, Moult could prove to be a real steal if he could bang in the goals again like he did for Motherwell. Rangers should do all they can to stump up the necessary funds for the big striker who made such an impact in Scottish football.
Louis Moult would single-handily push Rangers closer to their great rivals Celtic and may even give them the chance to steal the Premiership away from them finally. Whether Rangers have the capabilities to persuade him away from Preston having only been there for a matter of months is another question but the Light Blues would most certainly profit from Moult being at the club and adding the goals.
Rangers missed out on Louis Moult in January but our punters around the bar see no reason why they shouldn’t try again to secure a natural-born goalscorer.
