Rangers must delve back into the transfer market after a poor start to the new year.
The Gers will be disappointed as they start to realise the mammoth task at hand if they want to beat Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership.
A bad start certainly won’t be helping their case and they will quickly need to showcase their very best performances.
For that to happen, Rangers may again need to delve into the transfer market to find some new, important players for the team.
With the talented forwards Steven Gerrard has available to him, the Englishman should search for a player good enough to provide even more chances for his players.
Having recently arrived back at Southampton, Josh Sims could be a good, available option for Rangers to take.
Sims, (who is valued at £900k on Transfermarkt) played his part in a reasonable six-month loan spell with Reading but the 21-year-old will now struggle to get any chance in and around the Southampton first team.
Game time will surely be the most important thing for Josh Sims to focus on right now and with a switch to Rangers, he could realise his full potential whilst given the chance to shine.
He can play on either wing, adding competition to an already tough position for Rangers. Steven Gerrard though, will realise that the Englishman could provide something different to all the other players available to him as he likes to directly get balls into the box and create chances for himself and his team-mates around him.
On a loan deal, it would be relatively risk-free for Rangers as they bid to improve their chances of winning the Scottish Premiership.
