The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been getting their hopes up that this potential signing can do bits in Glasgow. Angers midfielder, Lassana Coulibaly, could be on his way to Ibrox on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the year, according to reliable Twitter account, The Rangers Observer.
Rangers are close to completing another loan deal for Lassana Coulibaly of Angers in France. The 22 year old Malian international plays in midfield and should join Umar Sadiq at the club assuming both are granted work permits in the coming days. pic.twitter.com/7cLRTDeYM8

Coulibaly looks like a monster of a player, with ten caps for Mali to his name and a successful season with Angers behind him, a move to Rangers could be just what the young midfielder needs. In 17 Ligue 1 games last season the 22-year-old scored a single goal and registered three assists and he could be joining Umar Sadiq in making the switch to the Scottish Premier League assuming the pair are both granted work permits in the coming days.
Whilst central midfield is not a position that the fans think needs strengthening, they’ll just have to trust Steven Gerrard on this one. The former England Liverpool captain knows what he’s doing and whilst the club have signed a lot of midfield options, it’s highly likely that they’ll be shipping some deadwood out in the coming weeks, leaving room for Coulibaly to thrive as a Ger.

Guy I stopped in the Clyde tunnel told me 24 clubs including Real Madrid were in for him so pretty chuffed with this

Don’t care how many loan players come in as long come the end of the season we are back where we belong

The name seems familiar but had a look & cant place it. Going to have to trust the manager with this one. Looks a unit, hopefully a gem on loan with view of permanent deal

As you can see, the Rangers fans in the Tavern look keen for this signing to go through, despite not really knowing much about the young Malian international.
