One of the biggest narratives so hotly discussed by the punters propping up the bar here in the Transfer Tavern of late has been Rangers’ search for a new manager. Indeed, with Pedro Caixinha having been sacked, excitement has been building.
Still, some strange names have been linked. The likes of Alan Pardew, Gus Poyet and Steve McClaren have all been mooted as potential targets at Ibrox, much to the dismay of our local Light Blues. As you can imagine – after the Caixinha era – our resident Gers do not want to take another risk.
Indeed, a former Rangers player has recently given his verdict on the matter. Speaking on Sky Sports, Scotland international Charlie Adam has revealed he believes Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes would be the best bet for the Ibrox giants right now.

A former Rangers player himself, the Dons boss has been strongly linked and, while he may not be the most exciting choice, does seem best suited to sort the club out. So, we’re asking Rangers fans, is Adam right?
