The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern were absolutely delighted to return to winning ways with a relatively routine victory away at Partick Thistle. Indeed, after their loss to Hibs over the course of the weekend, it was important Graeme Murty moved to stop any rot setting in.
With that in mind, you’d have thought that most of our resident Gers would be in a good mood. However, though the Light Blues managed to record a comfortable 0-2 win away at Firhill, a Twitter post on the club’s official feed has sparked quite the reaction online.
As Rangers were updating their followers and fans in regard to goings-on during the match, they posted an update about Daniel Candeias being replaced by Greg Docherty late on in the 86th minute. Funnily enough, that very tweet is probably the one most talked about from the encounter in terms of a reaction.

It seems many fans were hoping to see the latter – who recently joined the Ibrox giants from Hamilton – given more time than a four-minute cameo as Murty’s men were seeing out a win. With that in mind, here’s a closer look at the reaction.
Give Docherty 90 minutes next time ffs

Unless someone’s injured what is the point of putting a sub on with 5 mins left

Murty’s use of subs is mind boggling

Surely after signing Docherty and what we went through to get him murty should be confident enough in him to give him a good run out ffs
