For the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern, there’s so much to talk about right now. As the club’s hunt for a new manager continues, the sense of excitement truly is palpable amongst our local Light Blues, who’ve previously been down in the dumps.
Now that Pedro Caixinha has departed, the punters propping up our bar are hugely excited about a new era at Ibrox for the first-team, who are some way behind the likes of Celtic and Aberdeen right now. So, while the main thinking is obviously directed towards the first XI, comments made by Head of Academy – Craig Mulholland – to their official website have proven exciting.
Following the club’s decision to tie promising youngster Aidan Wilson down to a new long-term deal, Mulholland hinted the defender would not be the last on that front as the Light Blues look to produce more first-team talents for the new boss.
“Aidan is one of a few who we are talking to at the moment, and we got him over the line first”, he said.
”There will be a number of young players who will be signing new contracts over the next couple of weeks.”
With the likes of Myles Beerman, Aidan Wilson and Ross McCrorie all impressing of late, why not try and make the most of the current crop of talented youngsters?
