It proved to be a relatively routine win for the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern as they watched their side run out 0-2 winners against Glasgow rivals Partick Thistle at Firhill yesterday. Indeed, having lost to Hibernian over the course of the weekend, it was important Graeme Murty and his men returned to winning ways as quickly as possible.
With that in mind, while their victory last night wasn’t particularly exciting, it did stop any potential rot setting in. A fairly new-look team managed to hold off the Jags in a crucial victory as the Light Blues made sure of an instant return to winning ways.
Obviously, after a fairly big January spend, it’s going to take some time for them to settle in, though it was a man who has been at the club for years who received the most praise online. While Jason Holt has invoked the ire of the Ibrox faithful over the last few months (particularly when handed the captain’s armband) his performance in the engine room last night saw him praised online.
So, having said that, here’s a look at how Twitter reacted to Jason Holt’s performance last night.
Where as Jason Holt gives so much for the club, doesn’t get enough credit.

I love Jason Holt, I think he's one of the best professionals we've ever had. He's committed, his work rate is out of this world. But he's just not fucking good enough. At best he's a squad player. He needs to lose his place eventually.

Btw, Jason Holt was absolutely brilliant tonight, first half especially. Hopefully that silences his critics for a while so much love
