The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern are once again frustrated about life under Pedro Caixinha.
Indeed, much was expected from the Portuguese this season following a major summer rebuild at Ibrox, though our local Light Blues aren’t overly impressed after a draw against Partick Thistle this weekend.
So, with a huge clash with Celtic on the horizon, reports from the Daily Record only add to the frustration amongst our drinkers.
They’ve revealed that Caixinha could be without BOTH Lee Wallace and Declan John for this weekend’s visit of the Hoops. Both of Rangers’ left-backs could reportedly miss the Old Firm, after picking up knocks in the aforementioned 2-2 draw.
John replaced Wallace at Firhill Park, though the Cardiff loanee has revealed he’s struggling himself ahead of the game at Ibrox on Saturday lunchtime in worrying quotes for fans, who could see their team without a recognised left-back against the Scottish champions.
”Of course, I want to play as many minutes as I can. However, I have got a bit of a niggle as well so we will just have to wait and see”, admitted John.
Patrick Roberts will surely be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a Rangers side without a proper left-back. If Caixinha has to bring Lee Hodson over to the left-hand side, Roberts could run absolutely riot at Ibrox once again.
