Saturday’s loss to Hibernian has annoyed the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern, who were previously enjoying a strong start to Pedro Caixinha’s first full campaign in charge.
Indeed, losing to a big rival – one managed by Neil Lennon – has left our local Light Blues rather down in the dumps right now. So, they could certainly do with some cheering up.
With that in mind, reports from the Scottish Sun have moved to do exactly that. They claim the Gers are ready to open talks with Wes Foderginham over a new deal at Ibrox, amid links with a move away.
Former Rangers boss Mark Warburton was credited with an interest in bringing the custodian to Nottingham Forest of late, though the Glasgow giants look to be keen on keeping him north of the border.
He’s currently got two years to run on his deal at present, though Caixinha is understood to be eager to hand him a new one, in an effort to ward off any interest. The former Swindon Town man is believed to be happy in Glasgow and is reportedly open to extending his stay.
As you can imagine, this news has gone down very well amongst our resident Rangers supporters.
