Rangers fans in the Tavern are still downhearted after their latest loss to bitter rivals Celtic. Still the Gers are a long way from their former selves and so a big summer window is needed to bring the title challenge to the Hoops.
Rangers are lacking some recognised names in their side, someone who has battled hard through their career and that man is Charlie Adam, valued at just £2.70 million on Transfermarkt. The 32-year-old has just months left on his deal with the Potters and having barely featured this season, it seems the relegation-threatened side will cut their losses on the Scottish midfielder.
Having previously played for Rangers years ago, our fans would love to see a reunion between the Light Blues and the Scotland man, as the midfielder could be the perfect man to lead a proper title-challenge.
Adam is an experienced Premier League player and with that, would make him a desirable player to try and prize back to Ibrox. The younger players down at Rangers would really benefit from the arrival of Charlie Adam and we can’t see why it should happen. Instead of the possibility of playing in the Championship, why not return to Scotland and help out the club you once loved?
Charlie Adam of Stoke would prove to be a huge coup for Rangers if they want to aspire to win the Scottish Premiership. Adam possesses all the necessary leadership qualities and with his top flight experience, he could make the Scottish league seem like a walk in the park.
Thoughts Rangers fans – Would you like Charlie Adam back at Ibrox?
