Rangers and bitter rivals in potential transfer tussle for proven 25-year-old

Though Pedro Caixinha presided over a rather busy summer window, the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t quite sure just how much success his overhaul will yield.

There are a number of new faces who require bedding in at Ibrox amid what has been a mixed start to the campaign, so suggestions they could be in for yet another new face in January have been met with a mixed reaction.

According to the Scottish Sun, both the Gers and rivals Hibernian could battle for Motherwell striker Louis Moult when the New Year rolls around.

The striker is understood to have been of interest to both sides over the course of the summer, though neither were reportedly ready to stump up the sort of cash Well were looking for.

However, having snubbed a new deal at Fir Park, the 25-year-old is free to talk to other clubs about a move at the end of his contract, with Hibs and Rangers thought to be among interested parties north and south of the border.

He notched 18 times last season, not a record to be sniffed at, though our resident Gers are wary of too many personnel changes at once.
