Life under Mark Warburton has got a lot better for the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern recently, with the side looking like certs to finish in the top two at least.
While the Gers trail bitter rivals Celtic by 14 points, the former Brentford coach dealt with the ugly Joey Barton saga rather well and has turned things around at Ibrox.
So, reports from the Times (via the Scottish Sun) have worried the fans propping up the bar.
They claim the FA are weighing up a move for their manager as a potential option to oversee the England U21 side.
Gareth Southgate left his post to take charge of the senior side and top brass are said to have identified Warburton on their shortlist of candidates.
His proven track record in developing youth talent is believed to be an attractive notion to the FA, having previously managed the Bees’ youth team, as well as setting up the NextGen U19 tournament.
Our resident Rangers fans are sweating over his future, hoping he’ll stay at Ibrox for a number of years as they try and close the gap on their rivals.
