Rangers closing in on midfielder as Warburton continues rebuild (not Toral)

While the January transfer window is an exciting time for everyone in the Transfer Tavern, the Rangers fans in particular have been dancing in delirious delight as Mark Warburton is handed another crack at bringing in some reinforcements.

With our local Gers hopeful some astute additions can help at least close the gap on bitter rivals Celtic, reports from the Scottish Sun over the course of the weekend really excited them no end.

They’ve revealed Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman has jetted up to Glasgow in order to complete a move to Ibrox until the end of the season.

After Joey Barton departed earlier on this season and Niko Kranjcar suffered a lengthy injury, the Rangers fans propping up the bar have been delighted about the notion of a creative midfielder arrive.

A hugely talented young star, the American proved impressive at Fulham last season before making a move to the south coast, where he’s endured a frustrating time of things so far.

An injury picked up in preseason rocked the USA U20 captain, so a move north of the border could help him get his burgeoning career back on track.

How big a coup would Hyndman be for Rangers? Let us know below…
