Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can finish the season strongly, as they’re still yet to secure a European spot for next season.
The Bluenoses have looked less than convincing in recent times as they’ve gone their last three Scottish Premiership games without a win, with Aberdeen moving ahead of Rangers into second-place. And, many of our local residents received some negative news prior to kick-off against Dundee, as according Rangers’ official Twitter account, Josh Windass will not feature in today’s game after failing to train this week.
Josh Windass is set to miss Rangers’ all-important clash against Dundee later on today, as the Bluenoses will have to find a way to fill a huge void in arguably one of their biggest games so far this season. Sadly, the Englishman hobbled off with what’s believed to be a calf injury in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Motherwell, with today’s match coming too soon after failing to train all week.
Indeed, the 24-year-old has been the standout performer for the Gers so far this season as their joint-top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions, and has six goals in his last seven Scottish Premier League appearances, so will be dearly missed in today’s encounter.
Josh Windass failing to make the squad is a massive blow for Rangers after establishing himself as one of their star players, with many of our local residents now fearing the worst. Although, it’s the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic that most fans will be worried about, as they face an anxious wait to see just how bad his injury is.
