Rangers: Eros Grezda’s performance did little to impress fans on Twitter

With the international break in full flow Rangers, yesterday afternoon, took on Carlisle United in a development game which also gave the purpose of allowing fringe players to get a few minutes under their belts.

Players like Greg Docherty, Andy Firth and Matt Polster lined up as well as the much-maligned Eros Grezda. It was to be the Albanian international that would grab the attention of the Rangers support once again, for all the wrong reasons.

Grezda is already walking on thin ice at the club after an alleged spitting incident following the game against Bohemians in the Challenge Cup last month, with many believing he would never play for the club again it was a surprise to see him line up this afternoon.

With the scores at 0-0, Rangers were awarded a penalty and Grezda stepped up, looking to make amends for his previous actions, only for him to blaze it over the bar.

Rangers fans would barely have noticed this fixture but for Grezda’s name popping up on their timeline, they took to Twitter to let their feelings be known about the Albanian’s ineptitude.
