Many Rangers supporters have sent their congratulations to the club’s under-16 side after they celebrated success last night.

Rangers Youth Academy on Twitter (@RFC_Youth) shared images of Scotland under-19 coach Billy Stark presenting the trophy to the Light Blues youngsters after they were crowned Club Academy Scotland League Champions.

The success of the under-16s is the latest bright note to emerge from the Rangers academy, following on from the fine performances of their under-19 side in Europe.

Graeme Murty’s charges have already advanced past Young Boys and Slovan Bratislava to reach the third round of the UEFA Youth League, having beaten the latter home and away.

Also, some academy prospects have been generating plenty of interest from other clubs, with the Daily Record claiming that Kai Kennedy is on the radar of Bayern Munich and Manchester City, while Liverpool had been eyeing Nathan Patterson and Leon King, according to Football Insider.
