Alfredo Morelos returned to the starting line-up for Rangers against Ross County in their 4-0 victory and showed fans just what they had been missing at the weekend with another two goals to add to his tally.
Morelos now has 17 goals in 22 appearances (per Transfermarkt) for the season and was in outstanding form for the Light Blues in Dingwall. But for his own team-mate getting in the way and some heroic defending he could’ve added to his tally.
Steven Gerrard had the luxury of being able to substitute Morelos with one eye on the Betfred League Cup semi-final with Hearts on Sunday and not surprisingly, the Colombian wasn’t happy with a potential hat-trick on the cards – much to Jermain Defoe and Gerrard’s amusement.
Rangers fans took to Twitter to show their love for their talisman after such a stellar performance doing what he does best, scoring goals.
Another brace from Morelos last night.
Once again, proving he’s the best striker in Scotland by a country mile.
Last season, it was “Buffalo brains” and “psychological help”
This year it’s….erm..um…..
“wow! how good is French Eddie’s link up play”?
