A number of Rangers fans flocked to Twitter to leave their responses after an old image of Sasa Papac and Nikica Jelavic emerged online.
Social media user OldRangersPics shared the photo with their followers which show the Bosnian and Croatian celebrating in the dressing room with the Scottish League Cup and a round of beers.
The Gers had beaten their Old Firm rivals in the 2011 final with a 2-1 victory after Jelavic gave them the winner in extra-time in front of a crowd of just over 50,000 at Hampden Park (per BBC).
Indeed, both men were very influential in Rangers’ successes across all competitions during their stays at Ibrox, with the pair becoming key players throughout their tenures.
Papac would go on to play for the Light Blues in 227 games across six seasons and would end up being known by many of the club’s faithful as a ‘cult hero’ (per the club’s official website).
Jelavic, though, managed to bag himself an outstanding 36 goals in 56 total appearances, laying on a further 15 assists (as per TransferMarkt) to help leave him in fond memories for the Rangers faithful.
Therefore, it is no real surprise to see that a number of fans were left with positive views on the duo when the picture emerged online, with many sharing a number of messages.
Here are just some of their reactions…
