Rangers: Fans make their wishes known to James Tavernier after seeing festive post - Rangers

Rangers captain James Tavernier took to social media on Christmas Day to extend festive greetings to his followers.

He posted an image of himself with ‘Gers team-mates Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe, all posing with Santa hats, on his Instagram account @jamestavernier2, with a link to same shared on on his Twitter profile @James_Tavernier along with a festive message.

Tavernier and his Rangers team-mates were swiftly back into action on Boxing Day as Steven Gerrard’s team welcomed Kilmarnock to Ibrox.

On Sunday December 29th, their final fixture of 2019 is a crucial top of the table Premiership clash away to Glasgow rivals and current league leaders Celtic, whom the ‘Gers defeated in a festive fixture at Ibrox 12 months ago for their first derby triumph in 13 attempts (as per Sky Sports).

Tavernier has been a core presence in Gerrard’s squad this season, being their second-most used player  in the 2019/20 campaign to date (as per TransferMarkt).

These Rangers fans on Twitter returned festive wishes to the club captain and hope that the final few days of 2019 will be even merrier than their Christmas Day:
