Rangers fans may suffer unwelcome transfer blow after manager departure

It looks like being a big summer of activity for the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern.

Few would doubt that manager Pedro Caixinha has a massive job on his hands to close the gap on bitter rivals Celtic and Aberdeen, though reports from the Daily Record have sparked a mixed reaction today.

Though the bulk of one of their stories seems to indicate up to four players could soon be moving to Ibrox, there’s actually also a negative transfer line included in the report.

Indeed, the departure of Wolves manager Paul Lambert could seemingly scupper the Light Blues’ potential move for Vitoria de Setubal defender Fabio Cardoso. The 23-year-old has been touted as a potential Gers target of late, though may now join the Championship side.

Lambert’s recent departure may open the door for former Porto boss Nuno Espirito Santo to move to the Black Country and the potentially incoming boss is believed to want him at Molineux.

Though there look like being some positive incomings, losing out on the Portuguese has served our resident Gers with a blow.
