Rangers: Fans on Twitter react with move for Hearts’ Aaron Hickey linked

According to reports from the Scottish Sun, Rangers are looking to make a January swoop for Hearts full-back Aaron Hickey.
The rumoured move has come about after Ross Wilson was appointed as Rangers new Sporting Director with the report claiming that Wilson had been following Hickey at his previous club, Southampton.
The 17-year-old full-back has been impressing of late including a dramatic late winner in the recent Edinburgh derby, with Manchester City also previously said to have been keen according to the Guardian.
Hickey is a former product of Celtic’s academy and they would be in line to receive a percentage of any fee, should Hearts decide to sell one of their brightest prospects. He has been a mainstay for the Jambos this season making 12 appearances and has also been selected for Scotland under 19s.
Here’s how some Rangers fans on Twitter reacted.
We should sign Aaron Hickey, lots of potential.

plenty of clubs interested in him and he’s still very young so best to stay at Hearts and play every week I would have thought, unless Hearts need the cash?

I don’t see him spending £2m on a 17-year-old when Rangers have the current Croatian international at left back and the club captain at right-back.
