Rangers: Fans on Twitter weren’t happy how late Gerrard left it to make changes

Rangers will be welcoming Legia Warsaw to Ibrox next Thursday and the tie, and a place in the Europa League group stages, is still all to play for after the Gers secured a 0-0 draw away in Poland, although it could have been better.
87' SUB: Jermain Defoe and Glen Kamara come on to replace Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield | 0-0

The change above itself doesn’t seem to be an issue amongst fans, it was how long it took the former Liverpool skipper to make them. Gerrard’s only flutter with the substitutes came in the form of a double change in the 87th minute, and as things obviously weren’t working with the game goalless, these fans weren’t pleased.
Indeed, Alfredo Morelos was only handed a 6/10 for his performance by the Scottish Sun, whereas Arfield only did a bit better with a 7/10, so it’s not as if there was a great case to suggest either player was really taking the game by the scruff of the neck.

Why now and no earlier and try for a goal when it clearly wasn’t working

Obviously, these Bluenoses were far from happy, as you can quite clearly see, and it’s up to Gerrard to make sure he doesn’t leave it too late next Thursday.
