Rangers winger Glenn Middleton has given cause for speculation on social media by deleting all references to loan club, Hibernian according to The Evening Times.
Middleton had been poised to join NAC Breda (per the Scottish Sun) until a last minute intervention by Hibs manager, Paul Heckingbottom persuaded him to stay in Scotland.
The Scotland under 21 winger has made seven appearances for the Edinburgh side, starting five games and has contributed with two assists. The team from Easter Road have been battling for form this season and currently sit third bottom of the Scottish Premiership with Heckingbottom coming under increasing pressure.
There has, as yet, been no confirmation from either side as to the status of Middleton’s deal but it would seem strange for the deal to be cancelled with the player getting game time and Rangers being well catered for in wide areas.
Fans from both sides took to Twitter to speculate about Middleton leaving.
Been one of their better players as well, strange one after they made him change his profile.

Prob lack of game time whole purpose we loan players out to develop and give them much more playing time in a first team

Hibs fans had mixed emotions on hearing the news, some suspecting a rift with the manager.
Middleton is a decent option, something not right. Kamberi Vs Lennon MK2
