Rangers fans were left saddened after Bayer Leverkusen revealed the latest news concerning next week’s second-leg of their Europa League tie.
In a message posted on their Twitter account, the Bundesliga outfit confirmed that the clash at the BayArena will be played behind closed doors. The move follows an announcement by the German top-flight that a few of the games held in the country will be played without supporters in attendances. This includes big fixtures like Bayern Munich’s home game against Chelsea and the Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke.
Meanwhile, everything seems to be going ahead as planned for tomorrow night’s first-leg at Ibrox with Gers confirming that fans will be allowed to attend the fixture. However, the Scottish giants did make those attending the match aware of a few safety measures. The supporters were left displeased with the update as they took to Twitter to send their messages. Here is a selection of tweets:
Absolutely distraught missing the game. Mind a friendly in the summer you owe the thousands of Rangers fans an away trip.

A disgrace your even making our players and staff travel to your country with what’s going on there . Do the right thing and withdraw from the tournament
