Rangers fans were taking aim at former rival Kris Commons after the retired footballer took aim at club captain James Tavernier.
Writing in his Daily Mail (via The Scottish Sun) column, Commons lambasted the Englishman for his comments about how he and his fellow teammates can’t handle pressure. In his pre-match thoughts ahead of the shock loss to Hamilton Academical, the 28-year-old claimed as soon as the team is being asked questions, they don’t seem to have the required answers.
One fan called Commons’ comments ‘plain weird’.
This is just plain weird https://t.co/ytZws5wc8i

In response to Tavernier’s words, Commons hit out claiming Celtic captain Scott Brown would never have such a ‘defeatist attitude’. He was also less than pleased with the outfit’s PR department as he called them a ‘shambles‘. Rangers have been in horrible form recently, winning just one of their last four games across domestic competitions. It’s a spell which has allowed Neil Lennon’s men to open up a 13-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The 36-year-old also made reference to the type of car the Bradford-born defender drives, something which the fans weren’t pleased with. Here are a selection of tweets:
He would be equally bad in a Corsa
