Rangers: Fans slam Steven Davis for performance in win over Ross County

Rangers fans were blasting Steven Davis for his performance in the narrow win over Ross County yesterday.
It seems as though some supporters weren’t happy with the Northern Ireland international for his display as he the Gers struggled to impose themselves on the bottom-half outfit (via BBC). Davis hasn’t been very prominent in the attacking side of the game for Rangers, scoring one goal and assisting just three in 40 games across all competitions.
One supporter said the former Southampton man is ‘finished’.

However, the Glasgow side have been struggling as a team over the last few weeks and have secured just two wins from their last five games across all competitions (via WhoScored). Despite all the criticism, the midfielder was recently lauded by former Aberdeen player Noel Whelan, who claimed he could be more important than head coach Steven Gerrard in turning around the team’s slump (via Football Insider).
Supporters were far from happy with the veteran ace for his display as they took to Twitter to lambaste him. Here are a selection of tweets:
Davis’ passes are more backwards than Ibrox Loyal’s hairline

The space the leave behind them is freighting. The drop of in form for Davis is unbelievable, what’s happened to him?l

Defence has acrually been solid, the midfielders just don’t know what a forward pass is. Davis is the worst for it!

Davis can only pass a ball forward from our 18 yarder when no pressure , since january the amount of times hes gave ball away is frightening .

Davis and Kamara were poor. Nothing positive from them all game. Aribo tried to create and Kent’s only contribution was the goal. Goldson looked like bambi on ice.
