Rangers fans take to Twitter in delight as Borna Barisic wants Ibrox stay

Rangers fans have seen very little of Borna Barisic this season. The Croatian defender was signed last summer after he impressed for NK Osijek against the Gers in one of their early round Europa League qualifiers. The £1.8 million ace, as valued by Transfermarkt, hasn’t had the desired impact this season, but he’s recently claimed he wants to stay.
Borna Barisic says he wants to stay in Glasgow Rangers. “I am in good relations with Steven Gerrard”

Barisic is a handy player to have at Ibrox and the Croatian is capable of holding down the fort on his side of the defence. Despite that, he’s only managed a meagre 15 Scottish Premier League appearances in his debut campaign and has often been left out of the squad without explanation. It would have come as no surprise if wanted out this summer, but that’s not the case.
As well as Croatian Football News tweeting the news that Barisic is ready to give it another season at Ibrox, The Daily Record have also run an article that mentions the Croatian defender is happy in Glasgow, has no issues with Steven Gerrard and is ready to give it another go. The Gers seem delighted with that news too and will be desperate for him to shine next season.
The Bluenoses are delighted at this news, and you can see their tweets below:
I really hope that Borna makes it with Rangers. A good player, but needs to toughen up.

He's had unlucky injuries always solid in winning the ball but people believe this fake no heart narrative.

He’s definitely a good player. Those left peg crosses are sublime but needs to work on other areas. LB is a problem area. We need the same balance as we do with Tav on the attacking front, but we also need the defensive side to the position too.

The Gers are all desperate to see Barisic kick on and make something of his time at Ibrox and will hope the Croatian can start to shine for them from next season.
